My Dog Mason

My dog’s name is Mason. He is a 4 month old, almost 5 month old mutt. His breed is a Pitbull mix with a Labrador and German Shepherd and he is a very strong and intelligent dog. However, he is really fast so it can be almost impossible to catch him. Sometimes we would be playing and he randomly gets the zoomies. The zoomies are a random burst of energy that he can get throughout the day. But sometimes it is scary because he could trip someone. Although he is big in size, we do carry him as if he is still a puppy, which he is but a big one. He loves to play a game my cousin and I made, where we throw something he gets entertained with and once we throw it, we have to run to the other side of the gate without him catching us. My dog is very playful, he can be crazy, but my family and I still love him.

A Letter to a Character

My book is The 5th Wave and the character I am going to send a letter to is Cassie.

10/30/17

Dear Cassie,

I think you are very adventurous and smart. I also think it’s cool how you are ready to fight anyone in your way and you didn’t give up to find your brother. One thing in common that we have is that we both have an annoying little sibling. However I have to go, hopefully you can send a letter back!

Cassie’s Brother

From my book, “The 5th Wave” Cassie (the main character), has a brother named Sammy. Sammy is a little boy who has to leave his parents with his sister. During the journey, he loses his sister and is sent alone to an army base. His sister Cassie battles through tough decisions to find Sammy. Weeks later, Cassie finds her brother and finds out that he has been micro-chipped, she helps him and they escape and go back home with friends.

My Birthday!!

During the weekend, I had a birthday party. My birthday isn’t until November 1, but that is a school day. I invited Kaitlynn, Melodie, and my two other best friends in different classes. One fun thing I had at my party was a mechanical bull. It was funny because when Kaitlynn got on the mechanical bull, she kept sliding down. The second best thing at my party was tostilocos, a candy table, (by the way, it was filled with a lot of candy). My candles were super cool because they were sparklers. My favorite part of my birthday was when my friends came.

“The Playbook”

The book I am reading is called, “The Playbook,” this book is filled with quotes. For example, on the cover, it says, 52 Rules to Aim, Shoot, and Score in This Game Called Life. It basically gives you quotes to success at things. One quote by Billie Jean King is, “Sports teaches you about character, it teaches you to play by the rules, it teaches you to know what it feels like to win and lose-it teaches you about life.” This tells you not everything is going to be a success but that is how life is.

About A Character

My book is called, “The 5th Wave.” The character in my book is a girl named, Cassie. Based on what I have read, Cassie is adventurous and she will do anything and nothing will stop her. She has a two parents and a brother. Cassie is a very smart girl who knows how to do anything. She goes on a journey to save her brother from aliens going through many tough challenges. Cassie is intelligent and much more. I recommend to read this book because it is awesome!

About Me

My name is, Alexandria Gabriella Robles, and my nickname is “Gabby.” My favorite animal is a Giraffe because it symbolizes gracefulness. Secondly, on my free time, I like to watch shows on Netflix such as “Riverdale” and “Switched at Birth.” However, my favorite show when I was younger was Hannah Montana because the episodes were very funny. If I were to travel to one place, it would be Orlando, Florida because I have never been to Disney World or Universal Studios in Orlando and I would want to have a great experience. I had 3 dogs and they were all chow/lab mix, there names were Sparky, Snorky, and Leon. Also, my favorite sport is Soccer. To sum up, my favorite subject is PE because I like to play Sports and run.

A Day with a Character

If I could spend the day with a character from my book, “The 5th Wave,” it would be Cassie. I would choose Cassie because she is very adventurous. She went on a long journey to save her brother from an “Army” that turned out to be aliens. Although there was a lot of destruction, that did not stop her from going on her journey. Another reason I would spend the day with Cassie is because she knows her way around. For example, she did not stop running when she tried to find her brother, and she did find him. Cassie is smart, funny and adventurous and this is why I would like to spend a day with her.

My Reading Response “The 5th Wave”

My book, The 5th Wave, is about a girl named Cassiopeia, but she likes to go by Cassie. She is named after the constellation of the queen that tied her hair in the northern sky, who was beautiful but vain, and placed in the heavens by the sea god, Poseidon. The book is about a girl who goes on a long journey to save her brother after aliens hit the Earth. Since then, there has been many destructions. Many were earthquakes, and since they lived near the ocean, a tsunami was formed. The book is called “The 5th Wave,” because there are 4 earthquakes and the 5th one has a massive effect on the Earth. Cassie and her brother are taken in by the army like other kids because of a disease that went around, leaving all parents behind. Cassie found out that the Army was a group of aliens that put trackers in everyone at the army. When Cassie finds her brother in a large group, she takes him with her and her friends as they are about to get hit by the 5th wave, causing the ground the break. Will Cassie get back safety, or will she get caught?
